CO2 heat pumps are an extremely effective replacement for boilers, and could play an important role in the decarbonisation of heat, especially with regards to domestic hot water applications. This presentation covers the basics of CO2 as a refrigerant and its use in heat pumps, and explores how these heat pumps can be applied to satisfy all of a buildings heating demand, with a particular focus on DHW.
