Description
This presentation covers the issue of visual flicker in lighting.
From introduction to definition, root cause and effects are explored for LED, fluorescent and incandescent light sources.
The significance of flicker frequency and how it is measured is covered, including flicker behaviour dependant on source driver technology and analogue and PWM dimming.
Reference is made to IEEE 1789-2015 in respect of its adoption in the UK and its 3 recommended practices.
